Stand atop one of the seven summits
Join us for our first ever 100% locally and professionally operated Crater Creations adventure. Trek with an amazing group of young professionals to the roof of Africa. Our itinerary begins in Nairobi, Kenya where you'll embrace the modern city for a day and visit the famous David Sherlock Elephant Orphanage before traveling to Kisharu, Kenya. There, you'll spend two days living with and learning from the incredible Maasai community making this all possible, before heading to Kilimanjaro with a special guest.
At an altitude of 19,341 m above sea level, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, and one of the largest volcanoes ever to burst through the Earth’s crust.
Your 8-day climb follows the Lemosho route, an unspoiled, remote, little used, route which offers stunning, 360-degree views and allows for maximal acclimatization. This route is one of the few where groups may be accompanied on the first day by an armed ranger, as the forests around the Lemosho Glades are inhabited by buffalo, elephant, and other wildlife.
When: January 6 - 18, 2019
Climb Fee: $2,250
Fundraising: $1,400 (Tax Deductable)
